Escrow & Milestone Settlement Terms

1. The Wesker Escrow Architecture

To guarantee complete financial security in on-demand custom manufacturing, Wesker operates a tri-party milestone escrow mechanism. When a buyer places an order, 100% of the funds are deposited into a segregated platform nodal escrow account maintained with our regulated payment gateway partner (Cashfree Payments India Pvt. Ltd.).

Funds are never credited directly to the seller upon checkout. Money remains held in the platform reserve ledger until all quality inspection milestones are satisfied.

2. Milestone Verification & Delivery OTP Handover

The release of escrow funds to the seller is contingent upon physical fulfillment confirmed by the 6-Digit Delivery OTP:

1. Upon order dispatch, an encrypted, single-use 6-digit OTP is transmitted directly to the buyer via TRAI DLT SMS.
2. At delivery, the buyer inspects packaging integrity and provides the OTP to the courier or workshop driver.
3. Once verified in the platform system, the order enters the 7-day inspection window.
4. Upon buyer sign-off (or automatic expiration of 7 days without dispute), the escrow hold releases.

3. Statutory Deductions on Seller Payouts

In strict adherence to Indian taxation statutes, Wesker automatically withholds statutory operator deductions prior to remitting net payouts to the seller's verified bank account:

• GST TCS (Section 52 CGST Act): 1.0% (0.5% CGST + 0.5% SGST, or 1.0% IGST) withheld and remitted under GSTR-8.
• Income Tax TDS (Section 194-O): 0.1% withheld on gross sale value for PAN-verified sellers.
• Platform Commission: Agreed marketplace service fee (excluding payment gateway processing charges).

4. Dispute Freezes

If a buyer raises a dimensional dispute or defect claim within the 7-day window, escrow release is frozen immediately. Neither party can withdraw or forfeit the funds until the dispute is resolved by technical evidence review or Grievance Officer mediation.
